FAQ
What does NOT count toward your bill?
Label cardinality, custom metric count, ingested data points, dashboards, rules, channels. Only hosts × users are billed.
What counts as a "host"?
One registered agent. One server = one host. A 50-node K8s cluster = 50 hosts (one agent per node). Lambda functions count as 1 host per environment.
Can I mix self-hosted and managed?
Yes. The multi-region cabinet can connect both managed regions and your own VictoriaMetrics instances. Free self-hosted plus paid managed for specific data centers is a common configuration.
What happens at the cap?
Soft cap. You get an in-cabinet warning and an email. If billing doesn't move within 7 days, new agents stop registering; existing agents keep pushing.
Payment methods?
Stripe (card), invoice (bank transfer, Business+). Annual billing is 2 months free.
